Blood Money?........I Ran For My Life

Dear Reader,
I know that the issue of blood money is no news in this part of the world but when you find yourself right in the middle of the scene, believe me it is more than news when the director says "action" and you know this may mean an end to your life and it is sure not a movie.
Growing up as a teenager, I visited herbalists in search of spiritual power and strength. I grew up in an environment where sourcing for spiritual support was a norm since we got into street fights frequently and we walked around with harmful objects such as knives and the likes.
By the time we were youths,money became the major way we showed our superiority to one another and if your parents were not wealthy enough you would have to find other ways to get the money which was the case of one of my friend.
I wasn't surprised when my friend came to me that he wanted to have wealth by all means and he particularly said he was ready for even blood money,he just didn't know how to go about it. I called someone I trusted and he told us where to go. After we got to the herbalist and had been told that we will have to wait for seven days, my friend began the process which required ingesting different objects, substances and concoctions for the first few days.
I decided to leave him to his wealth making experience after the third day and was excited for him. Before we embarked on this escapade ,i had not seen this friend of mine for a few years but I trusted him just as much as I think he trusted me enough to confide in me about something like this as we grew up together. 
Fortunately for me,i was in the university at this time and I was yet to take him to my apartment though I said that he could stay with me after the trip. I was shocked when I got the call from the man who introduced us to the herbalist saying that I should totally avoid my friend on his return as his intentions were to use me for the completion of the ritual. I was naive and totally thought I was helping a friend but immediately I heard that,i changed my number and left town immediately. I later found out he turned out to be rapidly wealthy and I wished him all the best, but that year,i learnt my lesson and thinking about just how

desperate people can be when it comes to wealth,i choose my friends wisely. I'll rather be poor than kill a friend or anybody else for money. I may not be wealthy yet but i'm comfortable and will sure wait my turn. The idea of me running for my life may sound funny now but back then,it was no laughing matter. I lost a firend but I still have my life.........thank heavens. This is my DLS.

My Valentine's Day Theory

Dearest You,

Happy Valentine's Day. 
Valentine's day for me is a day to show love and be loved, it's that one day set aside in the year to remind us that we may not have done enough to show those special people in our lives just how much we care. It's a day to give a friend a treat, spend quality time with family, tell someone "I LOVE YOU " and mean it.
It's awesome  if you have that special someone you love crazy and he/she feels the same way about you, (come on) go ahead and celebrate your love but i'll advice you don't make promises you can't keep in the heat of the moment..........*smiles*
If you do not have a particular person to share your day and affection with just yet,don't worry honey,their are many more valentine's day to come and remember there are three people who loves you just the way you are come what may........God, family and ME. 

I think valentine's day should happen 365days of the year. I particularly love those people in my life who make my everyday feel like a valentine's day (you know yourselves). Ok people,do not hesitate to give yourself a treat,you deserve it.

Is Justice Served?

Dear You,
Thinking about today's story opened my mind to so many other circumstances of its kind that come and go leaving hearts crumbled,souls drained and of course the involved bodies never remain the same.

"Sometime ago,a certified but rigid doctor carried out a surgery (caesarean section) on a patient and made a terrible mistake damaging another organ of the body (the bladder) in the process. This doctor over a few years of practice has been known not to take to correction from his superiors or colleagues and despite the success of most of the surgeries he has performed in the past,most of his colleagues are not comfortable working with him.
The patient operated on was taken back to the theatre about three times after the unfortunate incidence. Though she survived,she knows she doesn't have a long time to live since she had developed a renal problem. The hospital management took up the responsibility of fending for the patients medical needs and reported the doctor to a higher authority. He faced a panel and was banned from ever entering the theatre or performing any form of surgery on a patient henceforth, but his license was retained and he still practices medicine at the same hospital. 
The patient was transferred to another facility and her fate is not known but the doctor's life continues as he still works as a doctor in the hospital and owns a hospital of his own where he still operates on patients. We have heard stories of licences withdrawn form doctors and nurses who made silly mistakes in the past but can we say that justice has been served in this case?
Only the hospital management and the  people working with him at the time of this incidence knows of this story,so a colleague decided to share this DLS to get your opinion. What do you think? "

Should He Marry His wife's Friend?

Hello You, 
 The first month of this year is gone. Hope you had a good start so far? Contrary to the opinion of a few,i choose to say that the year is still very fresh and we have almost eleven months ahead to achieve all that is in our hearts for the year. I know we can achieve anything with focus,hard work and especially God on our side,let's keep the hope alive............Happy New Month.

Today's DLS is about a man married to a beautiful lady he had been dating since their university days and after five years in marriage, he met another lady he felt very strong emotions for and coincidentally attended the same university he and his wife graduated from though she was a year ahead.He started an affair with this new lady and a few months later she was carrying his unborn child. His wife had not yet conceived and since he had genuine affection for this lady,he decided to marry her as a second wife but without the knowledge of his wife until further notice. *smiles*
People who knew him during his university days called him by a name different from what he is called by his new friends and colleagues. His wife calls him by the name she was use to since their university days and his wife to be knows and calls him by what his new friends and colleagues call him. He went ahead to meet the wife to be's family and made arrangements to have a proper wedding.
After the wedding date had been fixed and plans had been made with his family to be as discreet about the wedding as possible so that his wife is unaware of the matter at hand,he saw a picture of his new bride to be on his wife's phone and was shocked.
He couldn't summon the courage to ask about the picture for days initially out of fear that she probably knows about his rigmarole . When he finally asked about the picture without arousing suspicions, she explained to him that the lady was a friend she had in the university but that they had lost contact since the lady graduated before her and travelled out of the country almost immediately after she left school. His wife was all smiles when she said they reconnected recently in the line of work and that they had become better friends and that she is even involved in the planning of her friend's wedding and will like him to attend the wedding with her. 
The man was shocked and couldn't utter a single word. He had planned to tell his wife he was travelling on a business trip a month prior to the wedding. He picked up his car key,dashed out of the house and hasn't returned home to either his wife or bride to be since then................he doesn't know how to handle this complicated situation. 

Maybe i'll have the perfect solution to this secret if I were a man but as it is..........i'm far from been a man and totally yet to recover from the shock I got from this story. So, for now i'm going to let my computer (brain) sleep for a while and hopefully, there will be at least a good suggestion for this young man's situation when my consciousness is back......LOL
